It is a cyclic aliphatic diamine, similar in structure to isophorone diamine (IPDA), with low hydrogen equivalent, low viscosity, and good impact strength. HTDA is a mixture of cis and trans isomers. It is a clear and transparent liquid at room temperature, with a slight smell similar to ammonia.
